This weekend, I went out and decided to do a bolder look. I hardly ever contour simply because I'm not that good at it but decided to give it a try. I used a few new products and will give my first impressions below..
Products Used:
Kat Von D Lock It Featherweight Primer
NARS All Day Luminous Foundation in, Cadiz
NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette
NARS Liquid Illuminator in Copacobana
Too Faced Love Flush blush in, Your Love is King
NYX Microbrow Pencil in, Espresso
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder in, Transparent
NYX HD Pressed Powder in, Banana
Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in, Blackmail
First Impressions:
This was my first time using the KVD primer and unfortunately I was not impressed. I went to a party so I was looking for something to keep my makeup in place all night and keep my oily skin somewhat matte through the night but this primer did absolutely nothing for me. My makeup slid off my face and my face was even a bit oilier than usual. Definitely wouldn't recommend or repurchase.
Ulta was having a buy one get one half off sale on NYX products so I decided to try their highlight and contour palette. Let me just say I was very impressed by the quality of this palette. It blended so easily and was just super easy to use. I recommend to any beginning contourers haha.
I tried baking for the first time with the NYX HD Pressed Powder in Banana. I was so surprised about how bright and luminous it made me look. No complaints.
** constructive criticism always welcome **
