So in the winter my lips always get crazy dry no matter how much water I drink and how much lip balm I put on but this winter my lips are especially bad. They are dry, cracked, and even bleeding at times. Anyone know what's going on and how to fix it??!!

Perhaps try a lip scrub and try and not have your lips exposed to a lot of wind and put on a thick layer of lip balm if you go outside. I found that licking your lips makes them super dry too so in case you ever do then avoid that. Good luck 😊😊

Try aquaphor is an ointment/lip balm that has very minimal ingredients and does a good job on moisturizing your lips. Lip scrubs can also be helpful (but not if her have severe cracks and cuts). Check the ingredients of your current lip balm some companies use fragrance and other products that actually dry out your lips long-term.

Try vitamin e supplements to get your skin naturally glowing with no dryness
Apply a heavy duty lip balm by Burt's bee or nivea or vit e oil overnight
cover your lips from wind to get in touch with lips
Stay safe :)

I personally would ask Kitty about this. She is like the skincare guru of BL, and very well may have some home remedies you could try or some suggestions for otc products.

My mother-in-law has the same problem with her lips so I recommended her to try NUXE lip balm (the one in a little glass jar) and it completely saved her lips!
I use it myself every night, I don't get overly dry lipstick but this lip balm has changed the way my lips look and feel! It's quite a thick consistency so I normally only use it at night! But during the crazy cold winters in Denmark I will also apply a thin layer of it before I bike!
It's an expensive lip balm but it's worth every penny!

There's a lip balm us people in Australia use religiously (and you can even put it on sores and what not so if your lips are bleeding it won't hurt) it's called Lucas' paw paw ointment and it's AMAZINGGGGG. Definitely give it a go :)

Try an ointment or Vaseline, they will stay on your lips for a long period of time therefore protecting your lips.

Personally, I wouldn't use Vaseline seeing as it doesn't allow for breathing. It almost suffocated your skin.

I use a Vaseline Lip therapy or Smiths Lip Balm Salve at night. They're thick and sticky so they'll stay on all night. Your skin repairs itself at night, so take advantage of that time to prevent dehydration and moisture loss by an occlusive with salve like products. During the day I am LOVING the new Chapstick Total Hydration Balms. They're not waxy like the usual Chapticks. I have 3, the lemon, citrus and coconut. The coconut is my favorite, it's in my purse so that's why it's not in the pic. They also have a Vanilla and maybe another that I can't remember.
