I have been using Ella Bache skincare for over 20 years and considered it to be a quality product.
I have combination skin and get a very oily T zone which is very difficult to manage.
Is there another brand of skincare that would suit my skin better and also help to reduce the oil issue.

Someone very similar in regards to skincare philosophy (no two skins are alike) is Renee Rouleau. She has skincare systems tailored to your specific skincare needs/issues. At one point I was using her entire system for my aging/oily/combo skin and had awesome results. She has a serum called Skin Drink that keeps oily skin balanced. It doesn't it suck it dry but it keeps it from overproducing. She has an awesome commerce website and a really great blog as well.

Thank you for your feedback. Do you know if this brand is available in Australia?
Also, I have noticed others discussing primers to use under the foundation, are these helpful in keeping the oil at bay? I was wondering if they were more for preparing the skin for the foundation. I'm not quite clear what their purpose is and if I need to invest in some for myself.
I really appreciate your advice and knowledge - thank you!

I have one further follow on question. Is there any particular foundation and powder (I currently use Ella Bache foundation and a loose powder) that would compliment the skin care range you have suggested?
Is there any particular foundation/powder that manage excess oil better than what I have been using?
I welcome any suggestions you may have for me.

She isn't available to buy in Australia but I believe she ships internationally. Yes, primers will keep oil at bay depending on the formula. I'm personally fond of Hourglass Mineral Veil primer. I buy the travel size because the full size bottle spoils on me before I have a chance to use it up. A little goes a long way with it. It does provide a nice canvas for the foundation to lay upon. Especially if the skin is oily (keeps makeup from sliding around or fading). Foundation that is great to use for oily skin...I love Bobbi Brown's Oil Free formula but if lavander is not a fave scent of yours then you might want to bypass it. CoverFx also has a skincare based foundation containing ingredients to control oil production. It's the oily free version. When it comes to powders I just set with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in dim light. Or ByTerry Hylronic powder. Keeps my oil in check.
