You need a good moisturizer , try investing in a good brand.. I really like the Clinique one but everyone is different m. But also consider you don't have to jump into buying it if you aren't sure how your face will react, just go and ask for a sample and test it out. ( btw Sephora will give you a sample of anything liquid or gel textured if you just ask 😊)

A good moisturizer for dry skin(I've heard) is the CeraVe dry skin moisturizer. A hydrating primer can help with the foundation for now. And lastly, I like to put some Jergens Shea and Argan Oil treatment on my dry patches. But it all depends on how your skin reacts to different products.

I don't have eczema just really sensitive skin and I live in Alaska so it's really dry. I use skinceuticals wash toner and moisturizer because my dermatologist said it was top of the line.. I need extreme moisture tho!

Hydrating primer that sounds good! Do you have a suggestion for one?

In addition to a good night cream, which you may also want to wear during the day, use a humidifier and drink extra water.

First of all: drink enough water :)

Then, exfoliate once or twice with a gentle exfoliator and then apply a moisturizing serum :) exfoliation will get rid of death skin so the serum can really penetrate into the skin and be more effective

Primer: MUFE has a good line of primers for all skin types. Night cream: maybe the laneige water bank moisturizer(I think that's what it's called)? If not then maybe look at ole henrikson and origins, they both have good skincare lines.

I have had this problem too. To fix your problem you should use an oil based moisturiser at night then a water based foundation in the morning before foundation. I would strongly advise against coconut oil as this irritates the skin and causes many skin problems. Also drink plenty of water during the day. The way you apply makeup can also worsen dry patches of skin, I recommend using a Beauty blender to blend foundation as this tool doesn't create micro exfoliation of this skin which lifts dry patches of skin. Exfoliate once a week. Also make sure that any primers or foundations you use are not silicon based. For dry skin it would be better to use a water based or oil based foundation, but if you choose an oil based foundation then any primers that you may use would have to be the same otherwise this can cause problems with the foundation later on.
