I hate the dry skin that appears on the "t" section of my face. Before I put on makeup and all that stuff I have to scrub off the dry skin on my face or my makeup will look like a mess and it'll look disgusting, but when I rub off the dry skin my face turns red and raw, and it kills for days. I need a product that'll take it away. Heeeeelp!

What are you currently using from cleanser to finishing spray?

I use ponds sometimes & previse hydro milk all the time after I wash my face. And I've always used the same products for my makeup and I've never had this problem.

I don't use anything to cleanse my face either.

Well, I know too much exfoliation or scrubbing with dry you out. I alternate between chemical and physical exfoliation and use a primer that hydrates and softens, such as Embryolisse Lait-creme Concentrate. I also use an aloe based toner (Thayers) and avoid drying setting sprays, like UD All Nighter. I also don't powder, but Ms. Jacqueline suggested By Terry Hyaluronic powder. I hope to get some for Christmas. ;) You may want to explore that. Marleen has skin similar to mine and she may have some suggestions for possible powders for dry gals.
I'd pick up a jar of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. This is thicker than the lotion. The Hyaluronic acid should help you retain moisture in your skin. It is a hydrating powerhouse. I also love alternating between Jojoba and Sweet Almond Oils. The fatty acids in the sweet almond are a joy for my dry skin and jojoba is very similar to your skins own natural oil.
My fav gentle wash that exfoliates without drying is Philosophy Microdelivery wash..used on wet skin, with a tiny drop only needed. It will remove those flakes, making for a smooth face ready for priming. I do not use this daily. I use water only sometimes as well. I prime with Embryolisse, but I sometimes switch that up with priming using MAC Strobe Cream. I use very little Embryolisse as it is mineral oil based and let it soak in a few before applying foundation or CC Cream. I sometimes mix Strobe Cream in my foundation.
My foundation has to be dedicated to dry skin or forget it. It is just counterproductive to my skincare. I also love using cream blush or tints to avoid dry cheeks.

Oh, Hourglass No. 28 Priming Serum is also killer for dry skin, but it varies upon which foundation I'm using. I'd get a sample as it is definitely not for everyone.
I do think the CeraVe, facial oils and that exfoliating wash used sparingly (alternated with an AHA exfoliation would help you out though) with the right primer.

I have extremely dry skin too and I have found that oils moisturize the best. Try some Jojoba oil (you can find it at Trader Joes) and use that as your nighttime moisturizer. It's very gentle but very hydrating. I'd also suggest getting some Cortizone ointment and putting it on your dry patches, it worked really well for me. Hope this helped! :)
