I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it a lot.. I stopped straightening for about a month or 2 and I've tried deep conditioning it but nothing seems to work , anyone know how I could get my curls back? My hair is somewhat curly and wavey.

Same thing happened to me, it just took time. I would use a straightening shampoo& conditioner and on top of that I'd straighten my hair a lot. It got to the point where when I wouldn't it would just be loose curls, I stopped using my flat iron & shampoo/ cond system and switched to one that was specific to curly hair as well letting my hair air dry and letting go of harsh hair products. In about 1-2 months my hair was slowly coming back in about 6 it was completely back. Now I flat iron every once in awhile and my hair is still curly. :-)

Time. It took me 6 months to get my curl pattern back after flat ironing my hair for about a year. Deep conditioning masks and daily light conditioning in the form of leave in's helped me a lot.

In addition to the advice given, it helps to sort of "train" your curls. So, gently scrunching, wrapping sections around your fingers, plopping, pinning.

Same as Shelley! I used to straighten for years before I let it be natural. It took me about two years to get my curl pattern back 100% because there were always flat sections like the front and stuff.

Honestly Don't straighten it. Don't use heat tools, get a hair Cut to help your hair spring back up. I had to go through it. I got my hair cut to my shoulder blades n my hair has regained its strength n defined curl. use all natural product such as shea moisture.
