Want my hair light brown :c

Tried several hair colors to get my hair light brown, but it gets darker or black.
Anyone have tips?

Theres a color box that has a lightening formula mixed in the dye. I believe its from loreal and it says on the corner for dark hair and then it gives you a preview on slots if your hair is dark brown then you will see a pic of the results after dying which will show a light brown. It comes in different hades depending how light you want your hair

It won't be the color u want bcuz u have blue black hair u have to go dark brown then lighter n lighter

Did you bleach it? To go a lighter color, unless the box says it lightens, it won't get lighter

bleaching damages hair really, I've heard.
if i buy dark blonde hair color, would it be lighter then? ?
