I'm trying to make my hair grow and I was wondering if it'd be better to massage coconut oil in my hair or olive oil. I've read that both are better than the other. I massage it every other night into my scalp and spread throughout my hair to my ends and wash it out in the morning. any opinions?

Oh, and I'm using extra light olive oil at the moment.

Coconut oil sits on the surface of your hair/skin and creates a protective coat, olive oil will soak into your hair/skin. I've always heard Castor or vitamin e oils are best for hair growth. but between coconut or olive I would either do the olive or the olive followed by the coconut.

It wasn't one of your options but like Aleena said, use castor oil. It's a little pricey but it's defenitley worth it my hairline started breaking off and castor oil helped it grow back on a little less than a month. Castor oil is really thick and has a smokey cigarette smell to it though.
