Just posting since mother nature blessed me with her lovely 'gift' this morn and i was just curious about what changes y'alls bodies go through and what you do to deal with it? for me it's
-extremely oily and acne-covered skin
- breast cramps and one actually gets bigger for the week...
-gain like four pounds
- hair is reallllly dry
-really REALLY bloated.
-horrid pain

Allover i just feel like i turn ugly for a week once a month and i haaatee going outside. Anybody can relate?

For me its the PMS that is the worst. When I was younger the worst part was the cramps. Now I will gladly take the cramps compared to the PMS. My breasts get ridiculously sore, my back aches, and I feel like a puffer fish because I get so bloated and weighed down with water. I hate it more than my actual period!!! My skin also acts up and I get irritated and have high anxiety too. I actually feel relief when my period comes now. It feels like a huge sigh and all the pressure is gone and I don't feel like an inflatable pool toy anymore!!! Lol

oh my! PMS is very problematic for me too. i always know when i have it because i can literally cry at annnnything. and i do...a lot. but i cry all through it anyways so we can take the 'pre' part out since it's allll the way through. just two weeks of hormone-craziness. and yess! the actual period is the least problematic. it's gross, but it itself causes few issues. menopause doesn't seem so bad at he moment...;)

@Ave-congrats! but i guess it's trading out the once-a-month pain for nine months straight i guess? i'm always around pregnant people (large family) and they always seem so cheery. like they would want to be prego all the time O_o

Mine is horrible I have headaches and start feeling nauseous and my face breaks out and it starts the week before my period. Then there's the horrible mood swings

My PMS starts really far in advance for some reason. At least the bloating and breast pain does. It starts 2 or 3 weeks before my period and it SUCKS.

Lol ya it's not all bad in the beginning but for the most part I pretend to be super cheery around family.

When I actually want to go eat a gallon of ice cream, throw up and go to sleep lol.

I have spd (pelvis widens to far and causes tons of pain). So I'd rather have my period for 9 months than feel like my pelvis is being broken everyday.

Severe headaches! A lot of uncontrollable crying! Very bloated! Different months are different with cramps. Some months are a breeze others its hard to move.

I'm 17 and I've never had mine. I've had heart problems all my life and I only weigh 95 pounds. Is that normal? Girls that are 15 with heart problems have theirs so idk if its my heart.

yikess :/ i don't think we'll ever really win. You're either on your period for most of your life with pain and crap and then pregnancy brings that too in a different form and them comes the time where you're old enough to not have any of it but then you're just old..which is sad too haha. maybe birth control is a good method? never tried it but can't be sure it solves all problems..

yikes :/ whether on your period or prego or too old to have it all which means you have to come to terms with the fact you're old..we can never really win. maybe birth control is a good method? never tried it butttt i can't be sure it solves all problems if it creates others.

but how does it work? can it only be taken every so often so you have some periods and not others? maybe like every two months? but i guess i can see how that way would make the others worse. kinda taking the pain that wasn't used previously and doubeeling it up.

@Halley- i dunno if that's normal but i do know if you're very thin (which 95 pounds deff is) you probably won't get it. my mom was that weight too for a while but once she started to try to gain some she finally got it at 15

Hey if your on the right birth control pill it should help with some stuff, like pain and heaviness of a period and the regularity of your period. I have something call endometriosis - not sure if any of you have ever heard of it but its includes various problems - mainly AWFUL periods. So so so painful that I have to start painkillers 3 days before I start then I have to take painkillers every 2 hours during my period as well as a special blood clotting pill to slow the flow - sorry to be graphic. I take the birth control pill to control my endo to a certain extent and also stop it from spreading (spreads more with every cycle - spreads too far - no children) I also suffer from all the standard bloatedness and grumpiness etc. too but the pain is my worst bit, some days I can't even get out of bed, I tend to have a hot water bottle with me the entire period which btw lasts around 7-8 days. Basically being a woman sucks sometimes lol x

I have never been able to take birth control. I've tried pills, the patch, an iud. I get horrible side effects from it and the iud made me bleed for 4 months straight (no joke).

We really can't win! It's either periods, pregnancy, menopause or geriatric health conditions lol.

Ugh, my period is due any day now so I've already been experiencing my symptoms which are sore breasts, cramps (which get worse when my period starts) breakouts, bloating and sad feeling. I didn't used to get emotional around my period but have noticed this past year that I get really depressed feeling around my time of the month, I hate it. I can cry so easily around this time, lol. And my symptoms kick in before my period even starts, sometimes a week or more, I think it's cuz I have PCOS so my periods are irregular. So right now I'm goin crazy cuz I have all my symptoms & just can't wait for my period to come & go so I can stop feelin so emotional : (
