I have these things in the center of my forehead and they come and go. They don't look that bad but in certain lightings they look awful! I exfoliate regularly. Any suggestions on how to lessen then appearance of them/make them go away? Would a facial including extractions help? Thanks in advance :)

A few times a week I use the St. Ives Apricot scrub and every day I use a konjac sponge and/or silicone scrublet.

I wish St. Ives would stop making that scrub! It's been discussed here many times that that scrub isn't actually good for your skin, the particles in it are too big and jagged and can cause micro tears in the skin, which just makes the skin worse over time. I highly suggest the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel, it's super gentle (I use it every day, that's how gentle it is) but it's very effective. It exfoliates the surface of your skin and clears pores.

Omg I'll stop using that then! What about chemical exfoliants?

Or maybe some with rounded exfoliating bits?

Exfoliants with plastic beads aren't good for the environment. The suggestion I gave is a liquid/gel product with no beads or scrubby bits. You can check it out here: http://m.sephora.com/exfoliating-peel-gel-P393292.

There are a few varieties of closed comodones. It's a hassle and some require a derm to extract them but not always.
Since you say they come and go, my guess is you wouldn't need a dermatologist extraction. I'd get that facial, discussing my concerns prior to the appointment with the Aesthetician and also, ask about a light peel since they can be done in one visit. I can't stress enough how amazing facials and peels are.
For home care, I'd pick up a Clairsonic, avoid waxy or thick cream formulas on my face and oils that could potentially clog your skin type, such as coconut or mineral oils. If you want or need an oil, Jojoba, Evening Primrose or Sweet Almond are some options. Incorporate a great BHA or AHA into your routine. Alpha Hydrox (Alpha Skincare) has AHA at the perfect pH for exfoliating. Walgreens, Drugstore.com and Ultra carry the line.
For BHA, I like Paula's Choice. They offer both a lotion and a gel. You'll need to use a dedicated broad spectrum sun protection product as well.
