So if I put this gradual tan on does it come of in water.

Nope, you just reapply it daily like moisturiser until your happy with the colour and then I'd wait for it to fade a bit and just put it on when I wanted to be a little bit darker, this tanner I found doesn't get very dark at all so that's why I recommend applying everyday until you start to notice the difference your looking for.

Do you have to exfoliate like crazy and be super carefull to apply it so it doesn't look patchy or is it a more "user friendly" product?

@ Genevieve, nope it's super moisturising and I didn't find there was any possible way for it to be overdone, it just doesn't go super dark especially after only one or two uses I feel like it sort of is like "my skin but tanner" kinda feel to it if you know what I mean haha :)

Oh nice! Because I am super fair and I'm kind of afraid to try tanning lotion! I might give this one a try.
