I've actually gotten really positive comments about how much detail I put into my MOTD posts. Personally I don't think it matters how much you put in a post because people are still going to comment just compliments if they want to and if someone has a question about a product or technique they'll definitely ask. I quite like seeing other MOTD with step by steps as well so I can have a better idea of how the look was achieved.

Hi Candice - When making a MOTD we expect that the thread has content to make it a talkable thread. This means that we like for there to be at least detailed product listing (meaning brand, name, color) and a description about what kind of feedback the poster is looking for. For example if you are looking for feedback because you did a new look, or used a new product that you are unsure about of if there is simply something about the look you are unsure about?
We of cause love when there are more details then this but this is the minimum of what we expect.
All this will help with getting a conversation between the users started :) This also means that we expect the poster to keep active on the threads, answer questions there might and just interact with the users providing feedback.
The inactivity on threads have been a huge issue lately and is something many users are feeling very frustrated about.

And if all this is not something at one wants to do we do welcome adding MOTD looks to the photo section where they actually belong :)
