I've seen videos on YouTube on how to curl your hair with a straightener but it never works. My straightener is 2 inches wide, how to I curl my hair with a straightener?

I've only seen people use 1" wide straighteners, including myself and it works. If you could get ahold of a one inch it'll probably work.

I think a 2" straightener is way to big to do it with. I have a 1" and it works alright, but I like really tight curls so I reach for my curling wand more. You should try a 1" if you're interested in curling your hair with a straightener!

A 2" is pretty wide, but you should still be able to achieve glamorous curls. You need to hold your straightener as if you were actually straightening your hair, about 1-2" away from your root, take the remaining hair and pull it over the straightener so that it is now hanging in back of the straightener, then pull the straightener forward. The hair should look wrapped around the front of the straightener, but hanging in the back as you glide down.

Oh and make sure to glide slowly, not fast.

I use a 2" and it works great! I do exactly how Rachel does, make sure that when you glide it down you do it really slowly and you see ridges in your hair because that's when you know it's curled.

My straightener is actually 1 1/2 inches I just measured it again. Is that still too big?
