Hi, I have really long eyelashes with a decent curl, but no volume. When I try mascara sometimes I can get some good volume but it will add A Lot of length and crowd my eyes (my eyebrows aren't high so they will hit them) are there any good mascara for thickening the lash? Also important that I prefer waterproof.

I think Too Faced Better than Sex mascara is a good option since it adds volume, but not length. The only downside is that it flakes but they released not long ago a waterproof version which claims not to flake nor smudge.
I envy your lashes! I wish mine would be long :)

I was looking at that mascara but I've heard some people saying the waterproof smudges even more!! I might still try it out though. The way my eyes are shaped my lashes touch under my eye and smudge a lot.

Mmm then, Lancome Hypose Drama could be another option. It's not waterproof but it does not smudge :) I really like the effect it gives.

I suggest using a lash primer along with a mascara. The primer will help create volume and thickness. My favorite ones are the Tarte opening act lash primer and the Dior Lash maximizer. I've heard good things about the Lancôme one as well. Goodluck! For mascara I have actually been loving the Tarte lash primer with the Tarteist lash paint mascara :)

Lash primers kinda scare me bc I wear contacts and don't they usually contain fibers? I'm the kind of girl that usually just wears one coat of mascara and then I lock it in with a clear top coat so it won't smudge. Also I feel like that would lengthen a lot, but correct me if I'm wrong!
I hear there is a wp version of that Lancôme mascara!! I wonder if I will try it, it has mixed reviews. Although one poor review did claim that it adds volume but no length so maybe I will check it out... Any drugstore options you might suggest? I do like the lash sensational wp but it it either looks really good or makes me look like I have three lashes lol..

I used to use they're real and really liked it!! But then I discovered lash sensational and although it's not as easy to apply the affect it gave was so shockingly better.

The lash primers I'm referring to don't have fibers :) They give your lashes a coat of volume before adding mascara to increase the volume. You could do just one coat of a primer and one coat of mascara that would give you just enough volume if you're a one coat type of girl.
