Saturday was my birthday and I want to treat myself! and also I got my $10 off coupon for Ulta in my email!
I was interested in:
-Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette
-either the Mario bedescu drying lotion or buffering lotion
-a good setting spray
-a good moisturizer for my normal to dry skin
-a few of the nyx butter glosses
For anyone who's tried the products I've mentioned I would love to hear how you like them!! And I would love to hear your suggestions for products I'm looking for :-)

I absolutely love the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette! The shadows have great pigmentation and blend so smoothly and easily. For setting spray I definitely suggest the Urban Decay All Nighter (:

Love that palette! At first I wasn't that interested in it until I keep seeing looks on instagram or twitter and I had to have it. It is so pigmented and very wearable for everyday, I have been wearing pretty much everyday for 2 months now. For moisturizer I really like CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion or the AM Moisturizer (I have super dry skin so I actually use creams but I think if you have normal to dry then those other two would be good options). I love the Mario Drying Lotion and I haven't used any of those particular Nyx Glosses but I absolutely love Buxom's lip glosses and you can get a holiday set from them right now.

I love the ABH palette! I prefer neutral/natural earthy looks but I thought these shadows were beautiful. So, I was a bit apprehensive to purchase, worried the colors wouldn't be wearable. Glad I bought anyways since they can be applied in such a way to get a subtle look or heavy handed for that extra pow. These shadows are stunning and I have gotten a ton of color combos to make a variety of different looks.

Random question, is ulta not giving away a gift for birthdays last year? Like, last year it was the UD Perversion deluxe sample... My birthday is on Saturday and I haven't gotten anything about the gift, only double points all month?

You get the email for your free gift on your actual birthday. For September it's an UD eyeshadow single. But if you're platinum you get the free gift plus a $10 coupon.

Personally the maybelline setting spray works great for me since I only need it on special occasions, but if you care about a really fine mist and application than the ud all nighter is the best! A good moisturizer to check out would be the ultra repair cream from fab. You say you have dry skin so I'm confused why you are looking at the drying lotion and buffering lotion. These will only worsen your condition in fact they're bad for oily skin too. If you are looking to control acne or exfoliate you need to go to a dermatologist, or use a bha or aha. Alcohol and drying techniques will only irritate your skin in the long run and make it worse.

Also I have the abh palette and I also really love it. I don't think the quality is like mind blowing or anything but the colors are beautiful and my only real qualm is the amount of kick up but it can be avoided by using a really soft or synthetic brush

Thank you Mads!
I have normal to sometimes dry skin! I'm pretty comfortable majority of the time I only get dry patches if I overdo it with my Retina creams.
I was interested in the Mario lotions because I heard the buffering lotion is great for getting cystic pimples to go away, and I heard the drying lotion is a miracle worker for regular pimples that I can't seem to get rid of. I went to my derm a bunch of times and was never really satisfied with the products he put me on. I don't have horrible acne, but I just hate that when I get the occasional pimple, I can never get rid of it.

I use the Mario Badescu products and I have dry skin as well. The key is to apply it strategically so as not to dry out the surrounding skin:)

Those 2 products will change your life if you struggle with acne!

I used to use the drying lotion but noticed it only further irritated my acne, but!! I have oily combo skin so perhaps it works better on dry skin. I would only recommend using it sparingly though. Those ingredients aren't good for your skin in the long run.
