Crown brushes and Real Techniques are both affordable and work well. They're my cheapest brushes that don't shed after many washes:) Elf are good too but very hit or miss so if you go that route you can get a TON of brushes but I would check reviews on each individual brush. For example I would die without my Elf buffing brush but my Elf powder brush sheds like crazy.

Arent Crown brushes the same thing as Morphe brushes? Morphe's brushes are supplied by Crown just printed M instead of C on the brush. Crown brushes are cheaper too. Look it up.

I in my lifetime of wearing makeup the only brushes that never fail me are Mac. ELF the handles break off all the time same with luxie brushes, Billy b have broken several times as well as the OCC brushes. Mac brushes have never broken on me and will last forever if well taken care of (:
