I'm thinking about getting a helix, but how much does it hurt?

For me it didn't hurt any more than my regular lobe piercing but for a good week or two after it was real sore. It would throb and get really hot from my body trying to heal it. You will absolutely not be able to sleep on that side for a while bc it hurts like crazy to put pressure on it. Most people I talked to about it didn't seem to have as bad an experience as I did with the healing process though.

The piercing itself isn't bad however take into consideration that these take a bit longer than normal piercings to heal so sleeping on the ear it's in does hurt for a good few weeks and will feel Tender for a while.
