Are you looking for brands or just products? For products I'd say a hair serum is a must (my hair is curly so it's hard to find a perfect one but when you do, it's fabulous. Mine right now is Diva curls cream.). A go to eyeliner and mascara are musts. A bold lip color, maybe a red or purple. Also, a face wash that works perfectly for your skin is definitely important (it took me a year to find one, you just have to search and try different products). Hmmmm. I feel like I'm missing some... If you have straight hair, dry shampoo. Oh! And a eyeshadow pallet!!

Makeup wise my go to products (at the moment) are;
Kat Von D lock it foundation
MUA hydra pressed powder
Freedom/Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade
Nyx vinyl eyeliner
Nyx more to love mascara
Kat Von D shade and light contour pallette
Sleek highlighting pallette (can't remember the name)
Jeffree Star skin frost in Mint Condition
Elf blush
And finally either Kat Von D's everlasting liquid lipstick (in litterally any shade) or Jeffree Star's velour liquid lip

My holy grail foundation is probably the Dior nude air but it costs a fortune so for drugstore my holy grail foundation is Maybelline fit me dewy and smooth. These are my faves based on my skin which is very dry.
For concealer my hg is Tarte shape tape but it's near impossible to find.
For blushes the Too Faced love flushes are amazing.
For primer Makeup forever smoothing step 1
Everything else I am still kind of waiting to find THE ONE lol:)
Oh except bronzer. Physicians formula butter bronzer is my fave.
