Hair, Long, Medium, Or Short?

So, throughout my life I've had 3 types of hair styles. Long, currently medium, and pixie short. I'm going off to college this fall and I don't know if to grow it out, cut it short, or leave it as is. I'd like to hear people's advice :) thanks.
