Ok so first off, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong category, I wasn't sure where it fit. anyways, I have always had super yellow teeth, but I don't know why. I brush my teeth 2 times a day with whitening tooth paste and I don't drink soda or coffee so I'm not sure why they are so yellow. is there a good inexpensive product I could buy to help whiten my teeth? how would I be able to make sure they stayed white as well? if there's anything else I can do let me know please! thanks!!

I'm currently trying the crest whitening pen. You can get it at target packaged with a brush for around $6. I never had any luck with the strips so I'm hoping this works better!

There's this one kit called "5 minute whitening" or something like that and it has the whitening gel as well as a whitening rinse. I used it like everyday for about 3 days and noticed they were whiter. When I wore the Saint Germain lipstick my teeth didn't look quite as yellow as it did before using that kit.
They looked slightly off white compared to yellow and I used it some more and they were white. Then you can just use it once every two weeks to maintain the whiteness

The crest 3d whitening strips worked soooo well for me along with all of their whitening products like mouthwash, toothpaste. And the colgate whitening pen worked really well. All together they turned my teeth from looking like such corn to really white in a short amount of time.

@Danica, yes that one I believe.
I wouldn't say it works in "5 minutes" but after a few treatments it definitely worked

Ok this works for me. I use baking soda and toothpaste and mix it together and let it sit on your teeth for 2 minutes and then I rinse off. Wait about 60 minutes after before brushing your teeth because of the lemon. And if whitens your teeth!! It works so well

I agree with Aurora. It's called Plus white 5 minute whitening gel. My dentist actually is the one who recommended it to me. He did a mold of my teeth and I use it with that. It's amazing:)

He also recommends Crest 3d white for toothpaste and I feel like that keeps them pretty white between whitening. If you use the plus white gel be sure not to drink any red wine, coffee, etc.for several hours after though as it will stain your teeth bc they will be temporarily more porous.

As a note, some peoples enamel are naturally tiger yellow, and bleach and whiteners do not work. They may lighten the teeth, but not bright white. Also, do not put lemon juice on your teeth! The acid will strip the enamel making your teeth weak

My husband is a dentist, so this one is up my ally!
Don't feel bad about the coloring in your teeth, it has nothing to do with hygiene! (In your case)
The Crest white strips are what we usually recommend to patients. (I say "we" because I still work there occasionally)
Next we sell bleaching trays, but they can be expensive and the Crest white strips work about as well. There's not really any toothpaste that will bleach your teeth, if it says so then it's mainly marketing and any bleaching will be minimal, so don't rely just on toothpaste.
I have used hydrogen peroxide and baking soda on my teeth before, although it will damage your enamel if you do it for a long time. If your teeth are healthy, I imagine you could do that for a couple weeks and see how it works, just don't do it for months or years. When I did it, it worked for me. Good luck to you!

Honestly I wouldn't use strips for your teeth, but if you mix baking soda with lemon juice and put it on a tooth brush, it's supposed to really make your teeth white without damaging your tooth enamel or anything. I promise, it works within several days, and it won't hurt anything👌

Kathryn, while everyone is entitled to their own opinion, brushing your teeth with lemon juice will 100% damage your enamel. My father is a dentist and had told me this repeatedly. No professional would recommend that method.

Well at our local dentist (and orthodontist) they sell this black toothpaste stuff for about £20 and that's meant to whiten your teeth x
