Hey guys!
So I'm quite self concious of my nose because it's bulbous and not short but the thing is I see so many people highlighting down the nose or the tip and it looks super pretty but is this a good idea for me? Because surely it will draw more attention to my nose hmmm , it's just the bulb I'm concious of, thanks!

I have a bulbous nose and personally I haven't had much luck with nose contouring. As lightly as I contour, it just ends up making my nose more visible. What I like doing, on the other hand, is some matte highlighting on the sides of the bridge of the nose. Visually, the top of the nose will not look too slim compared to the tip, and the nose is more balanced.

Breeze is right. Not all noses will fit the contouring "rules" it also depends on the shade you use to create shadow. Look at yourself in the mirror under the light. Notice that the natural shadows your face creates are almost grey (like under your jaw) that's the tone you have to go with. It is not dark. It's just... Ashy in a way. Since your nose is the very center of your face, you have to do it very lightly.

There are different ways to contour a nose. If you have a bulbous tip, how you would contour and highlight your nose would be different than let's say with someone with a long, wide and bulbous tip.
If your nose is consistently wide, carry carry the contour lines to the bridge of your nose nose, and then jusy blend the product into the tip of your eyebrow. Now if your nose is only wider at the bottom is make a small lines going outwards when you get to your nostrils. Now if just the tip of your nose is bulbous what you want to do is make a downward facing arrow once you reach the bottom. This will give the illusion of a more streamlined tip.
When it comes to highlighting and your area of concern, only only take your highlight half way down the bridge of your nose. Doing so will draw attention away from the tip and draw the eye to the highlight area. :)

Sorry for butting in, but may you create some sort of visual for what you're describing, Jacqueline. I don't know why, but it's hard to see what you're detailing for a bulbous nose. I too have a bulbous tip, and I would love to put your technique to work c:

Then you just blend the contour product down the side(s) of the nose then just blend the highlight. What you don't want to do is highlight the actual bulbous tip. That would only draw attention to it, that's why you only bring the highlight halfway down. :)
