What are some tips for applying eyeshadow? YouTube videos make it look so easy, then I try and it's just a horrible mess lol So any tips and techniques would be great.

I think good brushes help. And making sure you're blending. I'm no master, I'm still learning! But some primer, good brushes and blending! And good brushes doesn't mean expensive. There's some good affordable brushes out there. But practice makes perfect though.

What exactly do you feel goes wrong when you try to apply eyeshadow? do you feel like your looks become muddy? or do you feel that they just don't blend? or that when you blend the shades lose their impact? It's easier to give advice if you're a bit more specific with what's going on =)

Blending is key. Also, start with less product on your brush and then you can always build up the colour.

How about using an eyeshadow primer or base? That will bring out the true color of the eyeshadow
