Hi! I've recently been looking for a new foundation brush. I have the Real Techniques brush but I feel like it's too small, deposits too much product in one area, and is very streaky with every foundation I've tried. I want something that will blend flawlessly without any streaks. Any suggestions??

I always have the worst luck with brushes for foundation! I highly recommend purchasing a beauty blender because it will blend flawlessly without the streaks brushes give.

Have you ever considered using a makeup sponge instead? I used to use a Real Techniques Buffing Brush until I got a Beauty Blender and fell in love. I decided to try my buffing brush again the other day and I hated it! I found that a makeup sponge (I switch between my Beauty Blender and a Real Techniques sponge) give me a much better coverage, doesn't waste as much product as a brush, blends it out sooo easily and it makes my foundation look flawless!

I love kabuki brushes for applying and blending foundation. Doesn't leave any streaks.

Lately I've been enjoying the artis oval 8 brush. I can get my foundation on and perfect in like 5 seconds. I also really like urban decays optical blurring brush.

I used to really love using a beauty blender but like Kelly I've also been using an artis brush. I use the oval 6 which is smaller so I find it easier to get into awkward places like around the nose.

I also second the beauty blender! I used to use the real techniques expert face brush and honestly now I realize it's horrible at blending and buffing. My beauty blender works AMAZINGLY at dabbing the foundation into the skin! I love it.

I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, it's my holy grail 😩💔😭😍
And I love the ripoff artis brushes for £1 on eBay
A beauty blender is not good for applying foundation I feel but if you want one the real techniques one is ace! ☺️

I agree, I love my RT sponge. I feel like you don't need as much product and it has a better finish on the skin.

I don't often use brushes, but I was impressed with the IT Cosmetics for Ulta brushes. I own 2 of them.
I also agree that a damp quality sponge/Beauty Blender is delightful.

I'm one of those people (am I the only one?) who has one brush for each foundation I own. I feel like foundation and brush need to match, and a brush that works with one foundation might not perform as great with another.
My most recent purchase was Bobbi Brown's full coverage brush, pairing it with armani's lasting silk foundation, and I've been using this combination since!
What foundation are you using, and what kind of finish/coverage are you going for?
