There are lots of acne scarring threads already on here just search for them to get advice - otherwise reposts are not allowed so this thread may be deleted - in any case try a vitamin c serum with a chemical exfoliant like a BHA or AHA - that worked for me and you can check out my progress in my photos.

I agree with Diana. A BHA or AHA makes a huge difference; you can even rotate usage of both if it suits your skin. There are weekly BHA treatments, as well as daily. AHA's can be used the same way at varying percentages. It'd the pH that dictates effectiveness. Paula's Choice and Alpha Hydrox (Alpha Skincare) both have great options at the perfect pH.

Additionally, Timeless Skincare has a Vitamin C serum that's about $25 and contains Vitamin E. Paula also has a nice C serum. This helps brighten skin and even skin tone.
I'd also use a soothing, hydrating toner to help counter dryness.

Many find success with Retinol as part of their skincare routine. All need to be introduced to skin slowly to avoid or reduce irritation and so you want to bump up usage over time.

If you have redness, use a cleanser and moisturizer targeting redness, such as Eucerin Redness Relief.

You can see immediate improvement with treatments, such as a peel at a reputable spa. I can't say enough how effective and surprisingly affordable light peels can be if you consider the cost of ineffective OTC products and cosmetics to hide skin issues are in even just a year's time.

AHA is Alpha Hydroxy Acid, such as Glycolic acid for example.
BHA is Beta Hydroxy Acid, such as Salicylic Acid.

These are used in skincare to exfoliate, target acne, stimulate collagen for anti-aging, even-out skin tone, smooth away fine lines, help dull skin look brighter, fade scars, soften skin, and/or and address textural issues. When used correctly at the proper pH and paired with broad spectrum sun protection, they are nothing short of amazing.  :)
