I found out that I got into beauty school! I will be a junior in high school next year and my school will pay for two years of cosmetology school and everything that goes with it. So, over the summer, is there anything that I should learn or practice? I know the first year is mainly bookwork but I'm still curious. Also leave comments about your experiences so I kinda know what to expect ๐โบ

I don't have any advice either but Congrats as well. There's a beauty on here named Caitlin who graduated recently. Hopefully she'll see this or you could dm her on her profile. I'll find it and come back with the link:)

You know who I would ask... Kelly V. I know she could give you some very valuable advice considering she is a working professional in the industry in which you will be entering. :) Here's a link to her profile:

I live in Michigan and we have a school called VoTech where we can go for half the day to learn about lots of stuff. There's agriculture, car repair, video editing (I almost did this), culinary, and so much more! It's really cool! They used to offer cosmetology but to many people dropped out so they dropped the class. But I have a community college that offers a cosmetology program for me! They give my school credits for me too! Once I graduate and take all the tests I'll have my license when I'm 18!
