I'm constantly on the hunt for that holy grail foundation.

I actually never got on the double wear train when it was popular a while back, but now that it's coming around again I'm thinking I should give it a go. I have combo skin (more oily in the summer) but I don't like the look of heavy foundation.

I'm worried the double wear might be a bit too cakey, so I'm wondering what your ladies' thoughts are on the double wear light version? Is it the same staying power but just a more natural finish?

Also, any other good foundation recommendations are appreciated!

I haven't tried the light version but I hear from other ladies who have its a lighter coverage compared to the original double wear and has the same staying power. The original double wear isn't cakey just use 1 light layer and go in with concealer over other areas that need extra coverage. I like to apply it with a sponge too so it doesn't disturb my drier areas. Definitely get samples of both foundations of you can though 😊

I loved double wear and light is good too it's just a bit lighter but same staying power.. I've been on the MAC train for a while lol ( which I love too) but was actually thinking about switching back to my DW just because 😌

Thanks ladies! I'm definitely going to go into Sephora and picking up samples of both :)

I love MAC but I've recently been pulling back just to choose cruelty free brands instead.
