Yesterday I received a salicylic peel. I knew there would be some irritation. I am wondering if the redness and discoloration will be permanent?

Yep I agree with Hannah.. its normal reaction when you have sensitive skinit'll go away soon and I believe you should stay out the sun too.

The ladies are right. This looks perfectly normal for having that peel. Your doctor should have discussed post peel care with you. I use a soothing, scent free moisturizer like CeraVe and wear physical sun protection after peels. Avoiding direct sun in general after a peel for a week is a good idea.

Ok thanks! I just wanted to make sure it was normal. I was told to avoid sunlight and wear sunscreen all day every day but nothing about how long the irritation would last
