My holy grail is the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. I have hooded eyes so eyeshadow creases very easily on me but this that primer I don't experience any creasing or fading (:

I love the Lorac Behind the Scenes as well. I get trial sizes with my Lorac palettes and they literally last me forever! I've never struggled with creasing or fading while using this primer and my eyeshadow stays all day

Nars. I just got a deluxe sample in a 500 pt Sephora perk and it's amazing. I haven't used my Too Faced since. The Nars is so weightless. It just melts in and my eye makeup goes on so easily. 💕

The 'best' is subjective, but my favorites are the NARS Smudge proof shadow base, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Kat Von D.'s High Voltage primer, Lorac's Behind The Scenes and Clinique's All About Shadow primer. On oilier lids, I like to use MAC paint pots.
In my opinion, shadow primers are somewhat interchangeable due the similarity of the formulas across the board, but if I had to pick my favorite out of the ones I use the NARS Smudge proof shadow base would be my favorite.

I've tried almost every eye primer out there from nars to urban decay, and I honestly think they're over rated. a lot of young girls who are just getting started in makeup are attracted to products such as Urban Decay primer potion, due to the cute packaging. But I find Mac paint pots are the best for creating a long lasting high pigmented colour which doesn't crease. I like the shade soft ochre as it is light. I also think it's important to use a setting spray on the eye lids to help keep it in place, especially when using glitter or pigment

How oily are your eyelids?
I agree that MAC paint pots are some of the best in terms of creating pigmented color, but they can highlight dry patches on lids. On the other hand, if you're too oily (like me) they can crease throughout the day.
My favorite is the Lorac Behind the Scenes, which prevents creasing more than any other product I've used. :)

I have absolutely fallen in love with the Smashbox 24 hour eye lid primer. I get super oily lids, and with the hot summer I used to have a crease line in 2 hours. Now I have had no creasing issues with my eyeshadow and I love how well it works to keep the shadow color true. Will you let us know what you end up getting?

I think I'm going to try out the Smashbox primer. But I also want to get the Mac paint pots sometime also! Thank you all so much!
