Hi!
Has anyone tried the Clinique 3 step? & has it worked for you? If not does anybody care to share their skin care steps with maintaining clear skin?

Thank you in advance X

Hey Grace what's your skin type and what skincare are you using currently? Do you have any major skin concerns that you want to address?

My skin personally is normal to oily with a few occasional breakouts.

I used the Clinique 3 step in my teens (from the age of 14 to 18), I'm now 23 and have only really just settled into a routine I feel works for me. When I used Clinique I thought my skin was dry but looking back I feel it was the system as I feel that my skin is much better now. It didn't work brilliantly for me but I know other people swear by it and they could have changed the formula since I used it.

At the moment I remove makeup with Bioderma, then wash my face with Origins Checks and Balances. I then tone with La Roche Posay Serozinc and moisture with Origins GinZing moisturiser. I also use the Liz Earle Superskin eyecream day and night. And if I have spots I use La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo.

I also make sure to drink plenty of water during the day which I feel is essential.

It's also important to note I rarely wear a full face of makeup during the week (I only really do it for the weekends or night's out) so my skin is usually bare and not covered by foundation (I tend to just conceal under my eyes and powder for my skin on these days). This may have contributed to clearing my skin (I've only been doing this for the past year, I wore a full face full time prior to this but there have been many other factors that could have contributed to clearing my skin too) but I don't think it's mandatory in maintaining clear skin, it's just my preference.

Hope that helped.

Oh and I also use face masks twice a week. I multi mask (I ended up with a sample of one so I'm unsure if I'll continue with this after it's run out) I use the Origins charcoal mask (apologies the name escapes me) on my t-zone and the Origins Out of Trouble mask on any breakouts or areas of congested skin.

Hi Rebecca my skin type is combination oily. T-zone is oliy and everywhere else seems to dry/normal. I currently use a charcoal face wash from boots/witch hazel, neutrogena pink grapefruit face scrub, a body shop toner for after. Then Paula's choice moisturisers/serum.

My major concern would be a few break outs here and there.

Thanks for your thoughts on it, I think I'll do more research on the products in terms of what's in it, reviews & etc.first.

I'll check out the products you suggested also! Water is a must which I definitely do at work and home.

With make up I wear it work because it's quite cooperate and weekends I don't wear any unless it's a night out.

Thank you so much X

I love the Clinique 3 step. My cousin works for the counter and was able to get me the set for free. And I e repurchased several times now. I personally used the set made for acne and it worked well. However in the last few months I have opted for a new routine as the Clinique started drying out my skin too much with constant use. Today I use 3 staple products. I have dry skin that's also sensitive so I use burts bees cleansing oil, the Murad acne spot fix and an all natural, vegan moisturizer from dermal. The firming dmae moisturizer.

I grew up on Clinique. It worked pretty well, but have mostly moved on to other products, except I absolutely love their "all about eyes" because the skin around my eyes is very thin and dry. It makes it feel so soft and velvety. I also like the "all about lips," which I put on my bare lips before any lipcolor.

I have the same skin type as you! And my skin used to be quite sever with the oiliness around the t zone but drying elsewhere. I haven't used the Clinique but I have used the la Roche posay 3 step blemish solutions and my God did that work for me! It purged my skin for a bit but I've been using it for over s year now and I can see a big difference in the look and texture of my skin. But what I did find helped me personally also was a mask called Aztec Indian healing clay, it's cheap from Amazon and you mix it with cider vinegar I put this mask on everyday / every other day and it seems to be working for me. Hope this helped X

I've been using the 3 step system since I began having acne (middle school) and it's alright. My acne is hormonal, so unfortunately the system didn't do too much to help with that. But the cleanser is great and the gel moisturizer is what I use at night in the summer, and I love it. In the winter, I use their Moisture Surge moisturizer.

Thanks Kendra, I think I will try sticking to three products with a addition of a face mask on odd days.

Jenny thanks I'll look into that product and see if it's something I need.

Lorelle I'm going to look into Roche and maybe it's something I can try. The Aztec healing clay sounds so great, I will definitely try this. Does it help with oiliness also? Thanks X

Ezri thank you! I think I'll look into the gel I heard its good. I'm just skeptical about the cleanser in terms of working.
