You Could Always Just Add Some Long Layers That Way You Can Trim Off The Dead Ends & Still Keep The Length. Plus It'll Add Lots Off Movement

I think a long bob would look lovely on you. If you have split ends you'll need to cut them as it'll grow at a very slow rate and it'll split further up the hair shaft, causing breakage. I find my hair grows faster when it's freshly cut too and long bobs (a least to me!) are low maintenance.
Hairstyles, I love Dutch braids at the moment. I wear them for everything and they're really quick and easy once you get the hang of it, it's sometimes quicker for me to Dutch braid my hair than it is to pull it into a bun!
My hair NEVER holds a heat curl but holds heatless curls really well. I love bantu knots and rag curls for heatless curls but I'm yet to find heatless straightening. I saw one where you pull the hair from one side to the other side (as in from one ear to the other) and pin it flat and wait for it to dry. I don't know how well it works though!

I think a medium length hairstyle would look stunning on you! You can always dress it up by doing different hairstyles... I had my hair medium length (I cut it cause the ends were all dead😬) and I loved it!
