I have quite a bit of hyper pigmentation on my cheeks, and forhead. I'm very very pale (the lightest color in the MAC match master foundation looks orange on me) so it's even harder to cover. Any suggestions for face makeup to cover and not look like a caked on mess. I have oily skin as well. thank you beauties??

Estée Lauder Double Wear. Medium to full coverage, lightweight, long wearing, transfer resistant, and holds up through skin's oils (:

Is the hyper pigmentation is a brown color then use a color-corrector.
If you're yellow toned use orange, if you're pink toned used red.
Get a fuller coverage cream concealer(MAC, MUFE etc) and just mix a TINY bit of the color corrector(or matte lipstick. It has to be as close to your skin color as possible, don't go lighter) with the concealer to get a salmon or peach color depending on whether you used red or orange.
You want to apply a THIN layer to hyperpigmentation then go ahead and put plain concealer over to cover up any excess warmth.
Using a foundation could work but when it comes to hyperpigmentation it can result in an ashy color when the hyper pigmentation is or you have to use a lot of foundation which will look too heavy and cakey and at the end of the day you'll still see the ashy tone start to come out

If your hyperpigmentation is purple, use yellow.
If it's red, use green.
Color correcting works regardless of how light or dark you are.
Like I said, just mix the unnatural color with a concealer that matches you.
You want it to be mixed into a pale yellow (for purple areas) or a pale green (for red areas)
When you neutralize unwanted tones it will leave those areas neutral in color.
Just make sure you mix it to a pale color cause if mix too much yellow or too green it may show up through the concealer.
It can be a tad tricky at first but once you get a hang of it you'll know exactly how much and how pale the yellow or green should be
