Date night makeup + KVD liquid lipstick first impression.

So for Valentine's day I gave my boyfriend tickets for a show with one of our favorite stand-up comedians - So today we are going out for dinner and then a show! Yay!

Yesterday Kat Von D's beauty line was FINALLY released in my country! And I'm so excited! I only got a few things, 2 liquid lipsticks in the shades Mother and Lolita (I really wanted bow and arrow but unfortunately it's not a part of the collection we got *sad sigh!*)
I really wanted to make my makeup look all about the lips today so I went pretty simple on the eyes!

Products used:
-Bourjois Healthy mix serum foundation in Vanilla Clair
-Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in Vanilla
-Essences blush in Kissable

-Loreal brow artist plumper in Blond

-White chocolate from the chocolate bar palette as a base all over the lid and brow bone
-Nude from the Lorac Pro palette as a transition color - I put it in the crease and blended up
-ShimmaShimma from makeup geek all over the lid and in the inner corner
-Americano from makeup geek in the outer V to darken up the look a bit
-Essences gel pencil liner in Cocoa bean used to tightline and in the water line - but only on the outer half of the eye
-Lash Sensational from Maybelline (HG mascara) used on my upper lashed
-IT cosmetics tightline mascara on bottom lashes - this is actually a lash primer but I tell you it's amazing on the lower lashes!!

-KVD everlasting liquid lipstick in the shade Mother

Now my first impression of this is that it literally feels like nothing on the lips, a tiny bit of dryness but nothing more then from a normal matte lipstick. I have only had it on for a little less then 2 hours so it's of cause still in place but I feel a bit more worried about this fading then I do about my La Splash one. This morning I was playing around with them and I felt like if I rubbed my lips a bit came of on my finger - I'm of cause not going to be rubbing my lips but it was a test ;) I was also able to remove this lipstick with my bioderma which concerns me - It might just have been because it hadn't had time to set properly and maybe my experience tonight after wearing it for more hours will be completely different!

But this was a lot of talk from my side! I would love to hear your experience with the KVD everlasting liquid lipsticks? How long do they last you? How do you take them off? What's the pros and cons with this product in your opinion?

I absolutely love the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks! I have Bow N Arrow and once it sets it doesn't budge at all and it's so comfortable and non-drying, even on my forever dry lips. I remove it with The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, it gets it right off. I recently just got Requiem but I haven't worn it yet so I don't know if such a light color will perform the same as Bow N Arrow did, although I'm sure it will (:

Mother looks absolutely stunning on you! I love the eyes as well, those colors really bring out your eyes (:

You look beautiful! I only have one the shade Lolita but I also want bow and arrow but it's always sold out. For me it last around 4 hours if I don't eat. If I do eat I have to remove and reapply because it starts to fade and look a bit uneven, but I agree it feels like nothing on the lips. I remove it with coconut oil. I've also removed it with a baby wipe when I'm out.

My La Splash says on 8-10 hours easily!

For me that's as long as it will go I should also mention that I rub my lips together a lot.My stila ones last a lot longer but it's soooo drying I grab the KVD more often. Are the LA splash ones similar to jefree star liquid lipsticks? I wore unicorn blood and it was insane I didn't need to reapply the entire night and it wasn't drying which I love.

Haha me to Maria, I can't help it I have to rub my lips together!
I only have one Jeffree Star lipstick and I honestly think I got a bad one - it takes an hour to dry down and crumbles pretty fast - but I have heard nothing but good things about the JS lippies!
But yes the La Splash lasts aaaall night long. through eating and drinking! it is slightly drying - more drying then the KVD ones but I don't mind it after a while :)

First of all, you look stunning, what a great look. I'm so excited to hear that kat von d is finally being released in a European country. I really want to try out the liquid lipsticks but the only online shop that I found that sells them is constantly out of the colours I would like.

Gorgeous! That lip color is pretty!! Kvd liquid lipsticks are still my second choice coming in from my new love Jeffree star (less drying) kat Von d ones are really great I have about six or seven shades from her line and everyone of them excluding vampira applies very well and lasts until I take them off. Is your bioderma oil based? If so, that's probably why some came off. In my experience these lipsticks don't come off unless you're eating greasy food or when you take off with an oil based makeup remover.

Livi the bioderma isn't oil based, it's just a cleansing water! tonight I was also able to wipe it all of with a tissue even tho I didn't eat anything oily!
I still really like the product and will definitely keep wearing them but they are definitely not as long wearing as I thought they would be! But now I know so I can keep it on me so I can reapply!

Whoa weird! I've never had that issue with the kvd although I don't have any of her new shades. I just have the old ones. Do you think they have reformulated it?

Livi I was just about to mention that when I got Lolita it was the "new" batch and its not that long wearing on me. It's the only one I have but now I want to get more colors to see if there's any difference in the staying power.

I will have to try out Lolita and see if it's the same with that one! It's hard to say if it's reformulated since we just got them in Denmark yesterday!
Maybe the problem is me ;) Maybe I just don't know how to do the liquid lippie thing ;)

Sabrina it's definitely not you lol! That sucks to know that it's not long wearing anymore. Maybe she formulated it because people complain it's too drying? lol I don't know! Anyway Have you guys tried Jeffree star? Its extremely long wearing if you avoid oilies! Oh I forgot to mention that my first shades from kvd is Berlin, bauhau5, l.u.v, vampira (patchy and I dislike it) and they were extremely matte and didn't transfer. My next shades were deluxe sizes of outlaw , bacholerette, Lolita, and Lolita 2. They transfer but still lasted till I took them off and won't come off completely without oil. Sometimes I think it is inconsistency and sorta bad batches? Because hearing that it comes off with no oil is super weird!!

You look stunning as always. I have mother, double dare and lolita. my FAV is doble dare,I grab for it whenever I have a long eventful day ahead. this new yr Eve I applied it around 6 in the evening and after a full night of drinking and eating it was still there till 5 in the morning. It did dry up and was a bit crumbly, but I have to share that it was after 15 mins of walking , 1 hr of train ride and.30 hr of drive in the cold Chicago weather. if it were some other liquid lipstick my lips would have peeled off by then! :-) these are the only ones that I can wear without hurting my aweful dry lips :-)
