I love using glitter on my nails, but the problem is, it doesn't stay and always chips! I apply a base and top coat so I don't understand why this is happening. any suggestions?

Maybe also apply the bottom and top coat around the tip of your nails

Okay, thank you Sara. I apply several coats of top coat so I don't understand why they are chipping so fast. I don't do a whole lot with my hands either. hmm... ill try it though, thanks for the suggestion!

Which top coat are you using? The ones that have worked the best for me so far are essie no chips ahead and good to go. They easily last me a week, I've used other top coats though that only last about 2 days.

If you want to avoid putting on layers of glitter that are too thick, you can use a latex-free makeup wedge sponge to sponge on your glitter polish for better glitter payoff in fewer coats. You certainly want to seal around the nail, as well, if your nails are long enough. P.S. The polish will ruin the sponge, so I suggest getting your sponges from the dollar store. You can cut the sponge after each nail to conserve sponges.
