Are makeup stencils good?

It a stupid question but do they look good using them for do your makeup? What the difference?

Meh. I've tried them for eyebrows and it worked ok as a general guideline but I still had to work on my brow without the stencil on it. Now I use it as an edge when I do winged eyeliner. I just take the eyebrow stencil and lay it against the side of my eye like you see some girls do with tape, and that really helps me get my wings straight. Aside from that, I'm not too sure about stencils for other things.

I personally think they make things harder than they need to be.
