They scar. I had my lip pierced and it looked cute but I regret it badly. You will eventually grow out of it and want to take it out but the scar will remain.

@sarah j, I'm a mom and have a lip, tongue, and nipple piercings as well as sleeve tattoos does that make me a bad parent?? I'm a stay at home mom and my fiancé has a very good job, I'm 21 and own my own house and a $20,000 car.
That's a ridiculous thing to say!!
I only have a stud on the side of my lip now and to be honest I forget I even have it.
If you want to do it go for it! But make sure it doesn't touch your teeth or gums.

that was kind of rude sarah just because some one has tattoos and piercings it doesn't mean that they can't be good parents or have a good job. I have tattoos and piercings and I don't regret any of them. I don't have any scars and I forget that I have mine it just depends on how you take care of them.

If you get a lip piercing make sure your positive I did an I hate it now I'm stuck with a scar that won't close .

I think it would look good on you if you want it you should get one and if you don't like it you can always take it out.
