I have been picking and squeezing at my skin fit about 6 years and I have a lot if scaring on my face, really bad on my arms and on my back. Not terrible, but it's there. Does anyone know how to help heal/fade it?

there are scar creams you can find at your local pharmacy, vitamin E helps as well, id try rubbing vitamin E oil on scars daily . if you leave the scars and wounds alone with time and age they will fade.

I already use a vitamin E moisturiser on my face and body every night. The problem is I can't stop picking, so I guess that is the problem to fix first.

U need to stop picking first. It's a compulsive disorder and u may need professional help.

You should try some methods to steer away from picking your face. Do you play an instrument? Maybe you could catch yourself at home picking your skin and stop and go practice your instrument, or if you don't you could read. Do you have a hobby?

As for the scarring, I usually only trust the natural stuff, so I would try extra light olive oil, it does NOT make your skin oily, just incredibly soft, and I hear it works wonders on scars. I'll have to try them on my stretch marks.

If your scarring is dark like mine. I use Obagi nu dermm Clear to fade scars. You may also want to get a blackhead/whitehead removing tool and use it only gently on acne to extract clogged poors. This tool can scar also so be careful.

Nothing has really worked for me :/ I have scars on my knee from knee surgeries and I haven't found anything that made a big change.

First you my have to visit a dermatologist. He or she might prescribe a toapical med. like Clindamyin phosphate 1% and or some kind of a antibiotic and fade lotion like Chloroquine , 4% with retina. 2nd if you can't get to a dermatologist , a good acne foaming face wash with 10% benzoyl peroxide , leave on skin for ten minutes, rinse and moisturize to prevent drying. 3 this may seem weird but when I had a zit I picked and it would not heal I would use (Abreva) ment for cold sores and it really helped the healing process. It also now comes in a self adhere patch that is clear and you can wear make up over it. And the wash you can get at any drug store. Hope this helps :)
