Thanks! I know that coppery shades are the complementary colors to blue. I would like to incorperate purples. opinions?

Purples are pretty but too close to blue to bring out the natural color of the eyes. The reason copper and Browns work is because they are opposite on the color wheel. A warm Burgundy is a nice color to compliment blue as well.

I usually do a lot of gold colours but I find sometimes you need something a bit more funky...so try a maroon colour with gold...you could even pop the gold colour on the center lid and inner corner it really makes blue eyes stand out! I find purple works, but I keep everything else pretty neutral around it, so a matte nude colour with maybe a soft brown and then pop the purple on the bottom lash line! Hope this helps :)

Purple would be tricky. You would have to use it as an accent color somewhere, not the main color. Blue and purple just aren't in complimentary places on the wheel. Unless I'm crazy bec it's 7am here and I'm lucky I remember what blue and purple even are. :)

Thanks everyone, and for looking for that picture. very nice!
Katryn, I know that coppery/orange/golds are complementary colors to blue, but I thought to add the purple as an accent. obviously not as a main color. :)
