Dark eyes = Light lips and Dark Lips = Light eyes. Keep the focus on one part of the face. As far as color, I try to keep one undertone on the face. If I use a warm blush and eyeshadow then I'd use a warm colored lipstick. Otherwise it stands out too much and not in a good way.

Thank you guys that info really does help.
I guess my biggest issue comes when I have brighter eyeshadows. like I have no idea what to pair with the mint green eye I've been wanting to do. I'll have to put some more thought into this. lol.

Well if you're doing colorful eyeshadows, you can either do a nude because nude goes with everything, or find a color that compliments it like Candice said. The opposite of green would be red, which could be translated to a coral pink color to make it wearable. Honestly you just have to try on lipsticks to find out what looks good to you. I have green eyes so if I do colored eyeshadow and a non nude lipstick I start feeling like a clown so I stick to nudes. It's all preference though, I've seen pink/blue eyeshadow on blue eyes with bright pink lipstick that looked awesome. You just have to find out what looks good to you. There's no rules, this is just what I tend to do 😊
