Want to dye hair lighter but don't know what shade.

Never dyed my hair before (will definitely get it done professionally) I was just curious about suggestions. I would like to go lighter but I'm not sure how light I could go without it looking off. I typically have a medium light to tan completion (depending on the season). I really do love dramatic hair though, so any recommendations are welcomed. If you need a better picture, I have older ones on my profile. Let me know your opinions!
