Black purple hair - is it possible?

Hey lovelies! So, I've been wanting to dye my hair like a blackish purple for a while now but I don't want to bleach my hair. Do you think I'd be able to get the result I want without bleaching it and without going to a salon? Also, do you think I could even pull it off. This is me except my hair is about to my shoulders.

If you just use purple dye over your natural hair color it's just going to have a purple tint that's only visible when the light/sun hits it just right. I have purple hair similar to what you have pictured and my hair had to be bleached to basically white.
