I HIGHLY recommend Ellis Faas foundation. It is wonderful for dry skin, has medium coverage, and is of extremely high quality. I also just bough the Marc Jacobs (not the gel) and my dry skin lives it and I'm shocked at how full coverage it is.
Two things. If you get Kevyn Aucoin I recommend his cream to powder foundation. Very full coverage, not drying at all.
Second, it's a shame you don't have CoverFX, if you're not sure double check because you can add this product to ANYTHING (any foundation great for dry skin but low on coverage) and you can increase the coverage. I LOVE mine!

By what you're describing and what you have available, I highly suggest the MUFE Face and Body.
It's a water based foundation, and as a girl with dry and sensitive skin it's been amazing. I have worn it after having a chemical peel performed (which means for dry peeling skin) it didn't show any dry patches. I've worn it under the rain and it didn't transfer. It has medium coverage and a very natural beautiful finish. I do get loads of compliments when I wear this foundation :)
I have tried the Ellis Faas Kathryn recommends and while it's a gorgeous foundation, I think you'll be happier with the MUFE. The Ellis Faas is ridiculously expensive and there are plenty on the market that repeat the same results.
I haven't tried the Born this way foundation or the MUFE in the stick form but I have heard Jacqueline say great things about the MUFE stick for dry skin.
The YSL is also very beautiful... another one of my favorite foundations. However, they did change the formulation of the product to add more coverage so I am not sure how well it is compared to the old formula. For those dehydrated days I still reach for my MUFE bottle over YSL but I do hope that the new formula is nice.

Hey Simran, I was born in the french part so I speak French but I've been living in Zurich for a few years. Try Globus for Bobbi Brown. Here we have it at Jelmoli but I don't think it exists in Geneva. I have never seen it at Douglas though. I never saw Mufe in Switzerland :( I might buy that one in the summer on holidays :)

Nathalie C: I know there's a Bobbi Brown stand in Douglas but it's small, so yeah I'll have a look in Globus. And for MUFE, I actually go to Val Thoiry (in france) because they have a Sephora there :) But I'm so disappointed with that sephora.. they take ages to get what ever people have in the USA. I went to india this winter and the sephora there was worse, like only half of the shop had items, I was so shocked and it was more expensive than Switzerland :o. Anyway aha I'll try out Globus this week or just go to sephora in france :)

Try Kiko Milano unlimited foundation in neutral 60 or 80, I have dry skin and this does wonders for me! The soft focus pressed powders are great too if you want medium to full coverage

I did try out that one I think in stores and if I'm not wrong, it didn't work out for me that much.. I don't know whether it was the lights in the store or not though.

Simran, great! let us know if you find one. I might be interested as my skin is also like yours.
Roshni, this girls in kiko always have very bad skin and foundation application. It's so awful. Because of that and the fact that the only foundation I ever bought there is absolutely awful, I don't want to trust their face products anymore.

Anyways, you are still lucky about sephora because here we have none :(
