Any recommendations for a full coverage foundation that doesn't look like you're wearing makeup? I was at work and someone asked me. I couldn't think of any brands. Usually full coverage means you can tell that you have makeup on so I didn't know what to tell her. She's coming back to see me next week and I told her I'll think about it, lol any suggestions? She's a very pale Indian girl with neutral undertones so finding any foundation to match her skin was kind of difficult. I'm open to anything. I tried Lorac sheer foundation but none of the shades matched her skin they were all too pink, she didn't like how Becca's foundation looked like she was wearing makeup, she didn't like Stilla even though it was full coverage. I even suggested sheering the foundation out a little with water but she didn't like anything I tried on her so I'm kind of lost.

So far, the most skin-like finish I've come across is the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. I would say it's more of a medium to full coverage foundation. It's better for normal to dry skin. I don't think it's possible to have actual 100% full coverage and still look like you're not wearing foundation. Real skin has texture and tonal differences not to mention freckles , moles and pores. If you wear a foundation that COMPLETELY covers all that, it's not going to look natural. I think the Born This Way Foundation comes pretty close to perfecting the skin to its highest potential but still allowing your skin to look like real human skin and not a mannequin. I don't know not any one foundation that is perfect for everyone and this may not be the one for her but I just wanted to share my thoughts so you don't feel like you've failed her by not finding what doesn't exist or at least doesn't exist to me. This is just my opinion and I may be wrong, maybe there is a foundation out there that will make your skin look "flawless" (I hate that word) and natural but so far I haven't come across It. Good luck. And I would love to hear everyone else's foundation suggestions. Because if it does exist, I'm all over it!

My personal favorite is the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation with a drop of beauty oil mixed in. Kind of a pain in the butt to mix it all the time but it is full coverage with an absolutely beautiful natural looking finish. I have awful skin and whenever I where that combo I am always being asked about my skincare routine so it’s fooling somebody :-P Givenchy’s photo'perfexion fluid foundation is another great one that is medium to full coverage. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro Matte foundation is also really nice.

Wow! I am so fascinated with the effortless look while using a full coverage foundation! I have been looking into RCMA foundation, but I'm struggling with getting the right match. And since it is online, I don't want to make the mistake and return it for another match. I am usually 'Nude or Nude beige' in drugstore foundations like in Covergirl and Neutrogena and 'Fiji' in Nars, and NC25 in Studio Fix Fluid. So can this kind of guide you to matching me, Jacqueline? x:

Thanks so much for all the recommendations! I was trying to explain that it's nearly impossible to get a full coverage no makeup look. Thanks though Jacqueline, Kristen and Marleen!

As far as too faced born this way foundation I don't think any of the colors would match her pale Indian skin Marleen. I'll definitely try though!

When I want a full coverage foundation to look less flat/more like skin, I mix a drop or two of jojoba oil into it. It doesn't affect the coverage, but it looks more like skin. Your mileage may vary though.
