Seems simple but... Makeup for an all black outfit?

So I'm going for cocktails next week and want some ideas for makeup.

My outfit is a black midi skirt and a black bardot top with heels. My hair's very short (pixie cut) and the whole outfit has ended up leaning very 1950's / 1960's inspired.

The obvious thing would be a red lip I guess but does anyone have any other ideas?

I would keep the rest of the face simple with a bold lip. either a wing and lashes with a matte brown in the crease or just some heavy lashes/mascara and a nude shimmer shade on the lid. for 50s/ 60s I would even do a cut crease wing

Maybe a smokey eye and instead of doing a traditional smokey eye you could put a flare on it

I think it would look great a "bold" eye makeup like this :) ad'hoc for the era with a soft pink/nude lipstick.

Thanks for the ideas ladies!

Hannah J. I'm not sure what you mean by put a flare on it? Could you elaborate please?

A smokey eye with emphasis on the brows! A nude lip always looks classy with black :)

A bold cat eye with lashes could really bring that 50s vibe in!
