Hi,
I need to do some stage makeup. One of the characters is a sick person. Any suggestions how I do this? I thought of going paler with the foundation. What else?
Also, any suggestions for doing different male eyebrows? The performers are all female.
Any other tips for stage makeup would be very much appreciated!

Liquid latex would be nice to create a crepe like skin texture, I don't know much about stage makeup though that's just a thought. Good luck 😊

Always make surevthe makeup is waterproof! Or the actual performance makeup if you want. You just need to make sure it won't be melting off while on stage because it can get hot up there.

I've put light grey foundation under an actors eyes and cheek bones to make them look sick.

This might sound like a weird question but what kind of sickness are we talking about?
Some suggestions though... You could very lightly add a little red around the nose. Making it look like irritation from a cold/blowing their nose and make the lips a bit chapped. There is also a product called ultra sweat that you could use to make the actor appear to be sweating from a fever. You could also use an alcohol activated palette and add some veining around the eyes/cheeks. You can use a cream product to do this too but the alcohol activated looks the most realistic in my opinion. Depending on how sick you want them to look you could also use a little red and yellow around the socket bone of the eye.
I'd stay away from greys though. Usually people aren't grey unless they are already dead. 😝

There is also this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2CGeDbuzjw but that's more zombie sickness than regular sickness. lol

When I was in a show about the Holocaust, I made my face lighter and placed dark brown/black on and around my eyes to make them appear sunken. Same with cheeks.

It's a production my students are putting on, based on the movie Patch Adams. So some of thew characters are sick patients.
thank you all for your suggestions! I have my regular beauty kit, so will have to depend on these products to get the results I want.
Hailey. I didnt think of the green color corrector! Great idea:)
S.J, what is a grey foundation?
Nice picture Kristen. Will use the darker shades under the eyes.
any suggestions for the eyebrows?

What kind of eyebrows are you wanting to do? When I dramatically change eyebrows I use Elmers glue stick and run it through the brows back and forth and lay the brow down. Then I'll powder over it, then foundation, then I can create whatever kind of brow I want.
Oh and for the sick people, red around the eyes and nose always makes one look sick. Good luck!
