So I got my hair chemically straightened about a year ago, and I'm currently growing it out. My roots are very curly, and there's actually quite a bit grown in. The problem is, I over-processed my hair and my hair is very...well...ugly. It's frizzy, then ends tend to break, and it's very poofy and unmanageable. I don't want to heat-style it since I've been trying to get it healthier and make it grow longer. If anyone knows of any way to get my hair depoofed or hairstyles that may work, that'd be fantastic!

Keratin straightening should not be a permanent procedure...it's supposed to last about 6-8 weeks before you have to have it re-done. That's assuming you actually got it done correctly with the correct products and didn't end up with a perm or Japanese straightening under the guise of keratin straightening. Point being, keratin should not permanently change the structure of your hair.
My thoughts on this are that your hair is simply extremely dried out. If I were you, I'd start CO washing and restoring moisture by using oils. The curl will probably come back when it's not dehydrated and brittle anymore.

Try Carols Daughters hair products for conditioning hair. I went through the same thing after I went natural and burned my hair out with my chi iron. U should also try shampooing and DEEP conditioning your hair ever week. I kno that probably sucks. But keeping your hair deep conditioning will restore it quicker!! Good Luck!!
