Double Piercing and volleyball??

So I'm the Libero for my club volleyball team, and I just got my double ear lobe piercing a few days ago. I have practice twice a week and sometimes half day tournaments on the weekend. For practice I can wear the earrings with tape or a bandage, but I don't know about the tournaments. Will my hole close up if I take out the earring BUT PUT TAPE OVER THE HOLE??????? Please helpppp!!!!!!
