Ugh I did SO much research on what bb cream (drugstore) to buy!! I tried maybelline, but it didn't do anything for me! Like it gave me hardly any coverage. Luckily I bought it at wallgreens and they accept used makeup returns and I exchanged it for Garnier. I really like the overall coverage the Garnier bb cream gives me, I feel it best supports its package claims. However it *does* have a liquorice-like(?) smell to it, it doesn't bother me but I've read some people don't like the smell. Also it does make your skin a little greasy??? But that's part of the hydration claim I think. So I really like using it on my skin when it is dry, and when my skin is a little more on the oily side I still use it and then go over with some translucent oil absorbing powder to even it out. If you have a place that accepted open makeup returns, then get a bunch and pick your fave!!

I tried l'oreal youth code recently and liked it. It had more coverage than I expected it to since American BB creams are really just tinted moisturizer from what I've heard. I have never tried the Asian brands so I can't compare the 2. But for what it is the youth code worked fine for me on my "no makeup" days or a run to the store without doing my whole face up.

I have yet to find one that isn't chocked full of yucky ingredients. I'm sure these products look fabulous on the skin, but I'm all about what's in the product.

If you want to venture out to try the Asian crazed BB cream, why not go straight to Asian ones, I tried over 30 (Korean, Japanese, US Drugstore, French) & my short summary is: Asians ones are clearly superior, western ones are generally pseudo BB cream. (less coverage, shorter staying power, finish is not as flawless, un-balm like texture, lower SPF, many skincare benefits with with NO single supporting ingredients), you don't have take my word for it, Google "Asian BB cream vs western" Asian ones had such a wide variety & many are so affordable, most of mine are about $20 & they are brilliant, I understand that you might be unfamiliar with the Asian ones, but if you step put of your comfort zone it can be very rewarding. I can recommend you a few if you tell me about your skin. Wish it helps!

Garnier for drugstore I've tried the l'oreal and it isn't a patch on the garnier, the more expensive Asian bb creams are a 100% better. I'm using Jane iredales bb cream now and it's pricey I paid £40 for it but you can get it on eBay cheaper and it's more like a foundation, very good quality natural products and fantastic coverage

Garnier Fructis bb Cream is really good. Any shade can blend with your skin. Not cakey and gives great coverage!
