What is the best way to wash your makeup brushes, other than brush shampoo?

I just use baby shampoo alone, or a bit of my purity made simple cleanser first. It really helps get the product out of the bristles. I wouldn't soak them in 91% alcohol though. At least not for long. It can dry out and strip your brushes. I would only use the alcohol in a spray bottle in between washes to sanitize and remove some excess product.
You could also use some liquid dish soap and olive oil.

I heard its also good to use conditioner on your brushes so they don't dry out.
