So I know that with some products you can tell with the smell and colour or consistency, but I dont for sure how long some last, make up and creams, if you know please help, thankyou!:)

usually on the tube or palette or whatever it is specifically, on the label there should be a tiny picture of a jar with its lid off.. on that jar it says how many months it's good for after being opened

18 months or so for anything liquid, 12 months for anything with a cream consistency, 2-3 years for powders and 3 months for mascara.

Mascara 3 months, foundation (in any form)12 months....everything else....if it starts to smell, change color or separate I simply toss.

I don't go by the label. I go by whether the consistency, smell, etc. is off.
