They're going to pierce you with a stud, it's easier for your nose to heal that way :) but after it heals, you can change it to whatever you'd like! I think that hoop is really cute

Okay! Thanks :) do you know how long it usually takes to heal?

Hmm I'm not sure, I don't have mine pierced, but I really want it! That's how I know about the stud :)

I would get a stud pierced then get a ring cuz it's easier to get used to a stud rather than a ring :)

I have my nose pierced (now a hoop) and it takes about a year + to completely heal.
although mine feels fine, isn't swollen or anything like that.
I changed it into a hoop after three weeks because I'm impatient and didnt like the stud.
I don't recommend getting it pierced with a hoop.
I say get the stud first wait for it to heal then change it into the hoop

What les said ^ I have a stud currently because I just got mine pierced in september (2014) & I'm too scared to take it out into a hoop 😂 but yeah you should wait a while.

Thanks Les! Do you have any care tips? I'm nervous about getting it done and then something going wrong afterwards! Lol.

Make sure to clean it two times a day.
I used sea salt water, worked best for me.
1/8 teaspoon of non idolized sea salt & 1 cup of warm/hot water then you can either use a cotton ball and soak it on your nose or a q-tip

Also make sure you clean it right away because if you do not clean the blood itll turn into scabs & itll be hard to clean (also itll hurt! personal experience)

Or you can buy the h20 ocean spray but I preferred just making it myself.
my sister used the h20 ocean and it worked great for her, she didn't have any problems.

I think you'd op suit a stud more.

FYI, they're super easy to take care of. Lol. Not high maintenance at all. They heal after 6 months, usually. I've had my nose pierced for nearly 10 years, I love it :) only piercing I've kept lol and I've had many

I never had a problem with my stud falling out shannie, what shape was yours just a regular straight (bone) stud?
mine was a screw, so it was really in my nose and never came out.
it was even hard to take out lol.

Yeah that shape always tends to fall out, my sister had that and didnt like it so she got the screw which is waaay better and won't fall out.

If you can, tried to find a shop that has internally threaded studs. It won't catch on anything or fall out like screws or bones will. And you can move it around more easily for cleaning. Definitely my favorite kind of nose stud but they are reeeeally hard to come by.

Really shannie? I love nine jewelry, they're so easy to pop in and out lol.

Bone*, not nine.

I love these😍 I want to get one but I'm not sure because I honestly don't like my nose and a piercing might stress it.

Xenia, judging by your pictures, a nose piercing would look good on you! :)

I love nose piercings. I've had mine in for about 14 years now. I prefer studs, and like Kailey said, find one that is internally threaded, with a cork screw shape on the end. the screw shape will help it stay it in. they heal super fast, just watch for make up getting in it. I thought that the initial piercing hurt like hell, but had no pain after the fact.

They say starting with a hoop can cause keloids and problematic healing. It's not true for every case but I wouldn't chance it. I've had my nose stud for about 5 months now. No real issues. I was really anal about cleaning and soaking it for the first 3 months (very important!) now I just clean it with saline solution 1-2 times a day.

Oh and I did get the nose piercing bump when I neglected to clean it for a bit. A big no no since I wear makeup. I put 100% tea tree oil on it overnight for like 2-3 days and it went away
